To say I’m obsessed with parsley water is an understatement. My body craves this stuff!! I go through phases where I can’t get enough of it. Don’t be fooled by the color. This is the perfect mix of citrusy, herby, and sweet. Jake was very leary of trying it and he loved it.
There are many benefits to drinking this, but Amber Bodily Green explains them in her blog, so there is no need for me to reiterate here.
This is her recipe and it is so easy and only takes about 3 minutes to make.
INGREDIENTS
1 bunch organic flat-leaf parsley
2 tbsp raw organic honey* or substitute pure maple syrup
Juice of 3 limes or lemons*
5-6 cups water
INSTRUCTIONS
Place all ingredients in a blender.
Blend for 1-2 minutes.
Enjoy!
RECIPE NOTES
You can add more honey/pure maple syrup to make the taste sweeter, or more lime/lemon to make it more sour to your preference. You can also strain out the pulp if you prefer a smoother texture.
This amount of juice is best made with a high-powered blender like a Vitamix. I only have a NutriBullet so I can’t make this much at once. I typically cut the recipe in thirds which makes about 20 oz of parsley water. It’s so easy to make that I eyeball everything and you really can’t go wrong.
Would love to know what you think of this one!
