Baskets are my organization love language. If you live in a small space, corralling things in baskets is the trick to keeping stuff looking neat and tidy. This isn’t just a small space hack but it helps a ton when you’re living tiny. From the pantry to the closet, to workout gear, to art supplies, to items in my “junk” drawer, they keep things in their place and always help things look put together. I try to organize by type so it’s easy to find what I’m looking for.
Whether they’re a visible part of your decor or tucked away under the bed or in the closet, make them cute! Ikea, Home Goods, TJ Maxx, Target, Walmart…pretty much any store like that will sell them and they don’t have to be expensive (ahem, The Container Store). I prefer natural materials over plastic but plastic can serve a purpose too. Rattan or wicker look cuter IMO.
