In January 2020 we stayed in this beautiful home right on the beach in Tola, Nicaragua. It’s still one of my favorite homes we’ve ever rented. It wasn’t fancy but it had an old home charm that couldn’t be replicated without the passing of time. If you ever get the chance to go, you will love this place.
It’s located in a gated community called Iguana right along one of the best surf breaks in Nicaragua. Because it’s gated the beaches aren’t crowded and the vibe is chill. It’s easy to get in and out of if you’re staying there so you don’t have to be confined. But there are restaurants and spas and rental places all at your disposal within the community which makes it nice.
