BOBA! What IS boba?? Technically it’s the bite-sized tapioca pearls that are in bubble milk tea. They are chewy and a little sticky. When bubble tea is good it is SO GOOD. It can also be really disgusting if you don’t get it at a good place 🥴. So if you’ve never tried it, I would go with someone who loves it and knows where to go OR read the reviews on the establishment first. I saw this video from Pick Up Limes and she made it look so easy to make that I had to try it. She tells you exactly how to make the tapioca and gives you ideas for fun drink options. If you prefer your tapioca on the firmer side, cook it a little less. I bought mine here.
This is also my tapioca of choice! Fun and easy to make, ready in under 5 minutes, I can adjust the sugar, ice, and cream levels to my desires, and it saves my pocket book about $6. Currently, I’m loving it best with Smith’s British Brunch sun brewed tea!
