a little bit of everything

October 10, 2023

your new favorite DIY face serum

If there was only one item I could use on my face for the rest of time, this would be it. It is my desert-island skincare item. I’ve used this blend every day for the past 7 years. I’ve always had oily, acne-prone skin and I noticed a marked difference the week I started using this serum. My blemishes disappeared faster, my skin tone started to even out, and my skin started to HEAL. I have used more products than I can count over the years but this is one I do not change. It’s my holy grail skincare item and will always be a part of my routine. It’s also cost-effective, hydrating, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, soothing, and helps with fine lines, wrinkles, and blemishes. It smells DIVINE & is completely adaptable according to your individual skincare needs.

It’s also extremely easy to make.

Here’s how to do it:

•10ml or 30ml roller bottle like this, this, this, or this. (Whatever roller you get, make sure it has a stainless steel roller ball because it’s naturally antimicrobial so it won’t get gross)

•Jojoba oil (stick with jojoba oil, it’s the most like your skin sebum)

•Lavender, Frankincense, Tea Tree, & Geranium I add other oils each time I refill my roller bottle but these are the 4 I never go without. You can buy them through this link or whatever trusted oil company you prefer. A word of caution: Don’t buy your oils just anywhere. You’re putting them on your skin which means they need to be quality in order for them to benefit you. MOST oils on the market have synthetic fillers and you should not put them on your skin let alone your face.

Directions:

-Add 10-30 drops each of essential oils. (It depends on the size of the bottle but there is really no wrong amount, less is best)
-Fill the rest of the bottle with Jojoba.
-Shake to mix.
-Roll on your face.
-Revel in the smell.
-Watch your skin start glowing.

The beauty of this serum is you can adjust the type of oils to what suits your skin’s needs best. Or to what smell you like best. If you need help knowing what would work best for your skin, feel free to reach out on IG!
