Oh hi, cutie planter! I bought this at an adorable plant/coffee shop in New Hampshire this past summer and it’s become one of my favorite planters in the house. I’m partial to neutral colors for planters so that the plants can shine, but a suitable planter can complement a plant and make it look better. Like well-intentioned accessories can improve an outfit. That kind of deal.
I usually tend to go for cheap and classic-looking pots (since plants can be pricey!). Sleek, modern, simple, and neutral are the ones I’m drawn to. And I prefer them to be either ceramic or terracotta for breathability. Always look for pots with a drainage hole so water doesn’t just sit in the bottom of it. Ceramic pots are great for plants that prefer a damp or humid environment like snake plants while terracotta planters may be better for plants that like to dry out in between waterings like succulents.
Here are a few I either have or love currently:
- IKEA usually has a good selection and they’re well priced.
- These and these are similar to my romy.
- I have this Delrado pot and absolutely love it.
- I like the more rustic look of these ones and you have different color options.
- Anthropologie always has cute vases and planters. Though not always cost-effective.
- LOVING what H&M Home has!
- and Terrain is another go-to.
It’s time to bring our plants indoors to keep them cozy for the winter! Might as well take stock of your pots while you’re at it and see if you need to replace any. Happy planting!
